The negotiations were held during the Aviation Expo China – 2017 International Aerospace exhibition. Dmitriy Pakhomov, Deputy General Director on Strategic Development, and Petr Levochkin, Chief Designer on JSC “NPO Energomash” side; Wang Ping, Vice President, CEO on China Great Wall Industry Corporation side participated in the negotiations.
Within the negotiations the agreement that “The Great Wall” Corporation would be ready to provide a number of proposals to collaborate in liquid-propellant rocket engines area was made following a technical collaboration treaty signed by the governments of Russia and the People’s Republic of China (PRC).
Wang Ping claims that these might include both joint development of a rocket engine and Russian experts’ assessment of the Chinese engines, as well as other aspects of collaboration.
NPO Energomash representatives emphasized that all the negotiations on technical issues may take place only after intergovernmental agreement ratification and State Corporation “Roskosmos” approval receipt.
Please be advised, that China “Great Wall” Industry Corporation promotes space launches in PRC and provides its services to a number of Chinese Space Companies, including the Sixth Academy, developing engines for Chinese LVs, and which NPO Energomash plans the meeting with on September 20, 2017 within the Aviation Exhibition.
